The Incentive to be a Fashion Designer and Illustrator.

This is a website community, where all alike come to collaborate on designing and drawing fashion. What makes this site different from others (few as they are) is that we accept that we are newbies, amateurs. Now in the past that word: "Amateur" has gotten a bad reputation, as something undesirable.  However, the word amateur is a good thing, it means.

amateur

noun
1. One who engages in an art or study, or athletic activity as a pastime.

2. Sports- an athlete who has never accepted money, or who accepts money under restrictions specified by a regulatory body, for participating in a competition.

3. One not yet a professional.

Consequently, amateur is a person just enjoying the art, for one's own enjoyment of the process.

Now, don't get me wrong, you may want to achieve a profession in the field of illustration and fashion, that's okay.  However, the one element we want to share, is to enjoy the process, the ride, the journey.

I love Fashion.  I studied Electrical Engineering; but I love High Fashion.  Clothes, make-up, nails, and hair, it’s all good!  I have included some of my original fashion sketches.
